What is Trunk or Treat?
Get ready for an afternoon of Halloween fun! Trunk-or-Treat gives neighborhood children and families a safe, festive place to celebrate Halloween. Kids can dress up in their favorite costumes and trick-or-treat from decorated car trunks throughout the Laurel Park Elementary School recess area.
Volunteers provide the trunks and the treats for our trick or treaters.

Games & Activities
Beyond trick-or-treating, enjoy fun games and activities for the whole family! More information about participating vendors and activities is coming soon.
Feed the Candy Monster!
The Candy Monster is back for 2026! Help us fill his belly by bringing a bag of candy to school. You can feed the Candy Monster in the school lobby, and your donation will help keep our trick-or-treaters and activity winners supplied with treats.
School-Wide Art Installation
Every student will have the opportunity to decorate a wooden pumpkin ornament with their classmates. Once completed, these colorful creations will come together in a special art installation displayed in grand fashion at the entrance to Trunk-or-Treat.
See if you can spot the pumpkin you helped create!
Switch Witch: An Inclusive Treat Option
We want every child to enjoy a safe and inclusive Halloween experience! For children with food allergies or dietary restrictions, a Switch Witch table will offer allergy-friendly candy and non-food treats. Children can swap out candies that may not be safe for them for an alternative treat.
Look for the table with the teal decorations!
Help Make Trunk-or-Treat a Success!
This event wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers and generous families. There are several ways you can help:
Host a decorated trunk and hand out treats.
Volunteer at the event to help keep things running smoothly.
Donate candy or non-food treats to make sure we have plenty of treats for our trick-or-treaters.
High school students: Earn volunteer hours by helping at Trunk-or-Treat!
